During World War II, the business was destroyed by bombings, and the Potthoff family had to be evacuated to Raestrup-Everswinkel. In 1948, reconstruction began in M\u00fcnster on Warendorfer Stra\u00dfe, initially in simple barracks, before moving to Achtermannstra\u00dfe 11 in 1950.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

It all began in G\u00fctersloh when Wilhelm Arnold Potthoff opened a shoe store at Blessenst\u00e4dte 6. At that time, the small town had only 9,000 inhabitants. Nearly 25 years later, the population had doubled, and the demand for footwear steadily increased.
